Pole of

the earth - one of two points on Earths surface, through which passes the axis of rotation. These points are know n as the North Pole and South Pole is farthest from the equator, they coincide in all meridians, and the value of the latitude of 90 °. Tidal forces of the moon and the sun always cause slight shifts of the axis of rotation of the Earth. Real pole of the earth over time, therefore draws on the surface of complex shapes, similar to the circles with a radius of several meters.
